However, for remote areas, there might be additional shipping charge because the delivery services are only limited to certain carriers which make the package hard to deliver in some countries.

Is my silk comforter chemical free?
Yes, we promise all our silk production process, starting from the breeding of silkworms to cocoon collection, to thread-unravelling, to weaving the threads into silk fabrics, does not involve any chemical additives. We at Mommesilk believe a good night's sleep means more to your health than anything else in the world.
How can I clean my silk comforter?
Your silk-filled comforter will not need cleaning if you air them regularly each season to keep them fresh. To air them, place silk duvet in indirect sunlight for a few hours each season. This will revive the silk and help it to retain its lightness and fluffiness and also renew its insulating properties. Silk naturally repels dust, dirt, dust mites, moths, mildew and odours so many silk experts recommend not cleaning silk duvet at all. If cleaning is really necessary, (for example if something has been spilled on it) we recommend professional dry cleaning only. Do not hand wash or machine wash the duvet as this will flatten the silk loft and reduce its natural benefits.
Are your silk comforters hand-made?
Yes. 95% of silk comforters processing are handmade, and 5% are machine-made. During the manufacturing process layer upon layer of long fiber, mulberry silk floss is placed one on top of the other. This process repeated until the desired weight is achieved.
Layering the silk creates an intricate grid design, which is key to the heat regulating the function of the comforter. This processing
requires 4 experienced employees to complete. Instead, the silk is tacked about every eight inches depending on the size of the comforter.
It stops the silk from moving about inside the cover. The processing is done by our advanced sewing machine to ensure durability.
What is the total weight of the silk comforters?
On our website, we stated the weights of silk fillings. The weight of outer cotton covered is about 0.8-1.2kg according to the size you purchased.
Plus two weights together, is the total weight of our silk comforter.
Do I need to air my silk comforter before the first use?
Yes, we would suggest hanging the comforter out in a place with good air circulation, for maybe 3-5 days before your first use. It is usually the strongest when the silk is fresh out of the bag, but you don't have to worry about the smell being indicative of something terrible. Because silk, being a combination of natural proteins, does have its unique smell, which mostly comes from the residue sericin, or "silk glue." Sericin is very beneficial for your body in trace amounts.
Can I customize the silk comforter size?
Yes, we offer customization service. Please send us the exact size you want to our eamil address: hello@mommesilk. We will make sure whether we can make that and
ask the price of the customized products, and if you can accept the price, we will send you the payment link.
